Burberry chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey had the honor of designing this year’s Christmas tree for Claridge in London. Bailey linked up with the hotel to throw a party and unveil. The event was unsurprisingly attended by a fashionable crowd that included David Gandy, Matt Smith, Ronan Keating, Jack Guinness and more.
Bailey had fun with Claridge’s Christmas tree, contrasting against the hotel’s art deco design with modern results. Claridge’s 2015 Christmas tree features 77,000 individual twinkling lights that are set into motion when guests pass the tree. Finished in metallic gold and silver, the tree also features 200 umbrellas that pay tribute to Burberry’s storied heritage as a British fashion house.
