Irish actor Colin Farrell catches up with British GQ to chat about joining the second season of HBO hit show True Detective and starring in Dolce & Gabbana’s Intenso fragrance campaign. Seeing that Matthew McConaughey appeared in the first season of True Detective and fronts a fragrance for the Italian fashion house as well, a comparison is drawn to Farrell. The 38 year-old actor insists that he isn’t taking career advice from McConaughey. However he shares, “But if you must take work advice, you could it take it from somebody who works like Matthew. But I’m here because the script is just really good.” When asked for what to expect, Farrell is coy, explaining “I’ve been put under a strict gag order by HBO. I can’t tell you; I’d have to kill you.”
On the subject of connecting with Dolce & Gabbana for its Intenso fragrance campaign, Farrell is more open. He says, “I haven’t been a big wearer of fragrances in my last 38 years but I think Intenso is really, really beautiful. Of course, Dolce & Gabbanais an extremely easy fit for me because those boys have been dressing me for ten years now.” Read more at GQ-Magazine.co.uk.
