Acne Studios delivers endless quirks for its spring-summer 2019 collection. I wanted to experiment with the definition of garments,
says creative director Jonny Johansson. What would happen if, when you described a pair of jeans, you were actually talking about a blouson? It was the beginning of a new set of archetypes, around which we built a wardrobe that plays with the idea of misinterpretation.
An unlikely color palette comes together for the season as Johansson dissects and reassembles menswear. Details emerge such as a fringed coat that brings to mind a winter scarf or a translucent shirt that may double as a jacket. Additional statements included a weathered leather jacket and knit sweater with bomber sleeves.
