A monochromatic color palette defines the season for Balmain’s fall-winter 2019 collection. Olivier Rousteing proposes a black, white, and grey scheme accented by touches of blue denim. Rousteing’s new lineup opens up with a certain formality, reflected in tuxedo jackets, oversized trousers, and crisp white shirts. Meanwhile, tweed adds texture to the collection with tailored coats and jackets. Opting for a more rebellious edge, leather jackets and pants join deconstructed sweaters. Another key element for the Balmain season includes the contrast of denim, wool, and leather panels for a dramatic finish.
