Olivier Rousteing creates a rockstar experience for Balmain’s spring-summer 2020 men’s collection. Darren Criss took the stage as models hit the catwalk in Balmain’s retro-inspired tailoring. Oversized white suits with satin details transition into metallic silver numbers with a nod to past ideas about futurism.
On a more casual note, Rousteing executed jean jackets and slim-fit jeans in a faded denim wash. In an interesting interpretation of the iconic jean jacket, Rousteing traded out the typical sleeves for ones of PVC plastic. Taking a look at this season’s trends, the collection dived into pastels with plenty of covetable everyday looks. Logo sweatshirts, leather biker jackets, and jeans were among the key pieces.
