Kris Van Assche embraces the art of collaboration for Berluti’s spring-summer 2021 collection. The Belgian designer reaches out to ceramics sculptor Brian Rochefort to inject the season with a taste of modern art. Van Assche references Rochefort’s signature use of melted glass and multiple glaze layers for vibrant prints. The unique graphics complement Berluti’s relaxed shapes and meshing of traditional tailoring with contemporary sportswear. Meanwhile, photographer Valentin B. Giacobetti captures the collection lookbook, working with stylist Mauricio Nardi. The latter outfits model Daan Duez in standouts, such as billowing trousers, a printed shirt, or an oversized double-breasted coat. As usual, Berluti’s leather accessories are compelling with patterned and graphic accents.
