Inspired by the urge to travel and explore, Boglioli’s spring-summer 2023 collection envisions setting sail around the Mediterranean coast. It’s a stunning array of colors for the season, from the blue waters to the many greens of the Mediterranean and even the most dramatic sunset hues. It’s an ode to the Italian spirit through a series of landscapes and distinctive hues, surrounded by the summer air, intense feelings, and extravagance. Nature, taste, and tailoring play a role in the perfect wardrobe.
With a photo exhibition at the Archiproducts headquarters in Milan, the heart of the Tortona district, Boglioli shows its new offering. Photographer Adriano Russo and stylist Viviana Volpicella worked with models Jason Harderwijk and Salaheddine Farhane on the season’s visuals.
For spring, color, a key component for Boglioli, takes center stage. The color scheme is based on two distinct palettes, one inspired by the water and the other by the earth’s contrasts—colors ranging from brown to blue, with all the refractions that summer water offers. From emerald to bottle green to aquamarine, the shades of green range from subtle to ethereal. Chalk white and anthracite’s understated world starkly contrast these vibrant hues.
Natural fibers of the most excellent quality prevail in the textiles, which have been carefully picked from the best purely Italian raw materials. The critical word here is “soft touch.” Soft, pleasant tactile sensations are achieved by working the fibers together into a flowing fabric that is distinct when touching the human skin. For clothing with a delicate hand, pure cotton is blended with other yarns like linen, silk, and cashmere to create a variety of different mixes.
