One of the most anticipated shows of the season, Riccardo Tisci made his official collection debut as creative director of Burberry. The designer’s dark penchant for tailoring and harnasses brought to mind his tenure at Givenchy, but quietly eased into the familiar camel hues of Burberry. Tisci delivered contemporary interpretations on key items such as the car coat and trench. Bringing a modern flair to the fashion house, Tisci juxtaposed the brand DNA with a modern flair for streetwear. Deconstructed tops, relaxed suits, and workwear-inspired numbers tackled trends head on. Tisci’s hand at celebrity-ready looks brings Burberry in line with labels of the moment Balenciaga and Gucci.
