Riccardo Tisci continues to develop the bridge between Burberry’s tailored heritage and his own streetwear-inclined designs. Entitled “Evolution,” Tisci’s spring-summer 2020 men’s lineup takes another step forward. The designer explains This is a collection inspired by our past and dedicated to our future. It’s the evolution of our Burberry kingdom.
Approaching the new season, the Burberry wardrobe transitions from neutral-colored suiting with soft details to more fashion-forward iterations. Contrasting colors, metallic finishes, and exaggerated proportions contribute to a modern look. Meanwhile, a casualness is felt in the season’s reinterpretation of the iconic rugby shirt or hoodie. Again, interesting shifts in cut and shape showcase Tisci’s rebellious hand.
