After months of anticipation, designer Hedi Slimane made his debut at Celine. Unveiling his spring-summer 2019 collection for the fashion house, Slimane officially launched Celine menswear. While many critics drew instant comparisons to Slimane’s work at Saint Laurent, the Celine man is more in line with the designer’s legacy at Dior Homme. Entitled “Paris La Nuit,” the menswear collection celebrates youth, but with a sharp tailored focus. Not limited in age, you can easily imagine the predominantly black collection worn by a variety of men, ranging from Lenny Kravitz and Jeff Goldblum to Alex Turner. Likely to be a commercial success, the lineup easily delivers with key items such as the trench coat, leather biker jacket, and fitted bomber.
