Diesel Black Gold tackles a multiethnic approach to fall-winter 2018 for its latest collection. Creative director Andreas Melbostad marries Diesel’s bad boy image with multicultural themes. In particular, Melbostad found several sources of inspiration in the personal archive of OTB president Renzo Rosso. His worldly travels include Morocco and Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, the collection also references Navajo themes, as well as various motifs from countries such as Peru and Africa. Therefore a tapestry of color and patterns informs Diesel’s uniform of leather jackets, longline shirts, slim-fit denim, and fringe adorned boots.
