Diesel Black Gold revisits its roots with its pre-fall 2018 collection. Creative director Andreas Melbostad looked to the brand’s archives for inspiration this season. The results include a fusion of biker, sport, college, and military styles.
The aesthetics harmoniously come together with the label’s self-professed “casual-street attitude.” Diesel Black Gold’s collection even pays homage to street culture. Melbostad embraces graffiti-inspired prints for leather biker jackets and bombers.
Meanwhile, a sporty element comes into play with striped football jerseys. Military-inspired knitwear adds a rugged contrast. The urban jungle inspires a series of bomber jackets that feature a camouflage print.
Garment-dyed parkas and windbreakers reference Diesel’s denim heritage with inspired techniques. Not a label to ignore trends, Diesel Black Gold also pays a nod to nineties grunge. Elongated flannel shirts join graffiti adorned sweatshirts and a plaid full-zip hoodie. Zippers and patched pockets update this season’s tailoring. Finally, footwear includes leather ankle boots as well as a sneaker-boot hybrid.
