Dior Men Heads to Miami with Fall ’20 Collection

As Kim Jones inches towards the end of his second year at the reigns of Dior Men, it’s easy to see the transformation of the French fashion brand. One of menswear’s prominent designers, Jones seamlessly blends the luxurious aspects of fashion, such as exquisite tailoring with the cool aspect of today’s prevalent streetwear trends. Jones’ fall 2020 collection for Dior Men is no different. A day before the label’s show in Miami, Jones announced his collaboration with Shawn Stussy who is famous for his streetwear. Stussy retired in 1996, so it’s no surprise that this announcement created a lot of hype for the show, and the anticipation was worthwhile. The show featured models wearing classic Stussy shirts, some of which had beadwork. One shirt had intricate embroidery, which took 2,600 hours to complete. Changing show venues from Paris to Miami, the show also highlighted Dior’s link to the area with designs featuring the local architecture and frangipani blossoms. Bucket hats and the lapels of jackets featured Christian Dior’s famous lilies for a Parisian flair. Outside exciting new prints, standouts for the season include oblique cut jackets and Italian-made leather AirDior sneakers.
