Kim Jones delves into the archives for Dior Men’s fall-winter 2020 collection. Another outing to marry ideas of the past and present, Jones adds a notion of the future to the mix. Looking outside menswear for inspiration, Jones revisits Dior’s rich haute couture history. Silhouettes blur the gender lines, while close attention to craftsmanship results in “engineered zips” that perfect a more architectural approach to design. Embracing shades of gray and blue, a rich lineup comes together, dressed in silk, embroideries, and the arabesque motifs and paisley patterns that make Dior’s heritage so rich.
Adding to the overall drama of the season, the fashion house’s man is outfitted with opera gloves, berets, and jewelry designed by Yoon Ahn. Engraved and embossed with the Dior logo, the accessories pay homage to the late jewelry designer Judy Blame.
