For Dior Men’s resort 2021 collection, Kim Jones explores the meaning of Maison Dior. Jones looks to Christian Dior and the duality of the “public world of 30 Avenue Montaigne and the privacy of his Château de la Colle Noire refuge.” The difference between public and privacy is reinterpreted in the bridging of Dior’s couture heritage and its modern sportswear. Relaxed fits and tailored pieces come together for an elegant lineup as a result. Embracing a soft approach to traditional tailoring, Jones introduces a selection of light jackets, airy shorts, elegant knits, and lightweight suiting. The collection arrives in a cool color palette with varied shades of blue and gray. Models Ludwig Wilsdorff, Issa Naciri, and Oumar Goumballa step into Dior Men’s footwear for the occasion. Brett Lloyd photographs the models against a chic background that mirrors the collection’s primary colors.
