Dries Van Noten takes a trip down memory lane for fall-winter 2019. Putting the focus on sharp tailoring and confident style, Van Noten references icons such as David Bowie, Yves Saint Laurent, and David Byrne. The elegant lines of double-breasted blazers, tapered trousers, and boxy shouldered coats gave way to a wardrobe dressed in a kaliedoscope of prints. Van Noten takes ordinary ideas like a pair of cuffed denim jeans and transforms them into a chic pair of leather pants. Meanwhile, belted leather jackets contrast against slouchy graphic sweaters and draped outerwear. Continuing a quilted trend for the season, puffer jackets take on a new form as Van Noten experiments with fit and shape.
