Dunhill makes an oversized statement with its fall-winter 2021 collection entitled Compendium. Approaching the season, Dunhill creative director Mark Weston shares, “I wanted to focus on clothes rather than themes, on individual garments and accessories and what they stand for in their own right.” The designer continues, “Things are brought together in that very British way: scruffily stylish confidence. It is a balance between moments of naivety and playfulness, against sophistication; it’s about masculinity, not whimsy.” As a result, function and style complement each other as the Dunhill man takes hold of essentials, such as the Compendium parka. One of fall’s hero pieces, the parka, can be worn multiple ways. For example, a quick zip away transforms the parka into a jacket, or you can wear its lining on its own. More staples include Dunhill’s split hem trousers, wrap jacket, and cummerbund bag. Each item introduces a modern attitude born of tradition.
