Dunhill depicts modern luxury as a pillar of reliability while recalling its legacy for spring-summer 2023. As a result, the fashion house’s new collection honors the attention to detail, craftsmanship, and functionality that go into creating timeless menswear. “In Movement” is how Dunhill expresses its distinct mark on tailoring, function, and innovation.
Dunhill creative director Mark Weston notes, “Tailoring gives purpose–a desire to meet combined with a sense of taste and presentation.” He continues, “Ceremony. It’s fundamental and primal. We want to feel attractive and be attracted to others.” For spring, Dunhill explores masculinity and what it means concerning Dunhill and its distinct English style.
“This season there is an intimacy to the collection, an acknowledgement of how our clients want to look, and feel,” Weston says of his Dunhill collection. The designer elaborates, “Men are seen as having a uniform, knowing what looks good and repeating. While tailoring is the classic example of this, under examination there are many codes and nuances which discreetly show our individuality.”
Dunhill enlists the help of photographer Jack Day to create a sleek lookbook to showcase its spring-summer 2022 collection. Day takes to the streets to capture the multidimensional Dunhill man. Anders Hayward, Andrew Westermann, Cherif Douamba, Jeremy Young, Louis Hart, Ottawa Kwami, Simon Martyn, Tancrede Scalabre, and Wang Xiangguo are the men’s models for the British design brand this season.
