Alessandro Sartori explores the relationship between nature and machine as viewed from the connection of man himself for Ermenegildo Zegna’s spring-summer 2021 collection. Presented at the intersection of digital and live experiences, Sartori’s newest menswear coincides with the brand’s 110th anniversary. Tracing its roots back to a textile mill, this season’s theme is all-to relevant. Transforming raw materials into clothing for the Zegna man, relaxed silhouettes take shape as a reflection of the times. Linen, silk, wool, and more take the form of a fluid wardrobe. Oversized shirt jackets, loose knits, and mock turtlenecks join slouchy trousers. Meanwhile, Sartori shares a subdued color story, utilizing everything from clay and river stone blue to carabus green or hydrangea pink.
