Etro Looks to Indonesia for Spring ’19 Collection Inspiration

The Fashionisto / Published June 18, 2018

Etro references Indonesian culture as the label approaches its spring-summer 2019 collection. The elegant season is unveiled with a lookbook featuring models Tony Thornburg, Niko Traubman, Peter Finn, and Simon Martyn. Posing against a backdrop of ornate fashions, the models don Kean Etro’s latest designs. Easily holding up to a history of beautiful prints and textiles, the collection is dressed in earthy hues. Indonesian patterns come together with patchwork and even graphics of Mexican dream symbols. Not caving into the streetwear trend, Etro maintains a gentleman’s wardrobe with fluid proportions. Double-breasted suits are just as refined as a decorated bomber jacket. The Italian fashion house also makes a case for bamboo, complementing linens, cotton, and wools.
