As Fendi’s logo once again enjoys mainstream popularity, the Italian label revisits the notion of a name with its spring-summer 2019 collection. Italian artist Nico Vascellari collaborates with Silvia Venturini Fendi for the season. Fendi becomes “Fiend” and Roma transforms into “Amor” for the collection. Embracing a dark color palette, the brand taps into a streetwear attitude. The use of mesh lends itself to a sporty vibe with jackets, button-down shirts, and even pants. Meanwhile, black and brown are juxtaposed with red and white for contrast. The season’s graphic appeal is shared between reworkings of the Fendi logo and bold checks. Leather belt bags, carryalls, colored sunglasses, flight bags, and bucket hats round out the collection.
