Jil Sander Looks to a Positive Future for Fall ’18

The Fashionisto / Published January 19, 2018

Jil Sander unveiled its fall-winter 2018 men’s collection with a presentation during Paris Fashion Week. The season’s theme begins with the idea of a positive future. Designers Lucie and Luke Meier explore a progressive approach to improving the existing. Emphasizing a human touch, the husband-wife team deliver familiar silhouettes that have been modestly reinterpreted. Modern shapes range from shrunken proportions to the slightly twisted. The Jil Sander man also gravitates towards oversized pieces like the down coat. However, the Meiers show control with refining overall shapes. The collection also features a mix of leather and natural fabrics. Delivered with a neutral color palette, Jil Sander definitely places its bet on a hopeful future.
