Jil Sander Delivers a Uniform Ease with Fall ’22 Collection

The Fashionisto / Published January 23, 2022

According to Jil SanderLucie and Luke Meier’s collections are as much about us as they are about them. With their designs, the creative directors aim to provide individuals with part of the tools necessary to craft a look, which contributes to who they want to be. Consequently, Meiers’ work embodies the evolution of individuality.

For its fall-winter 2022 men’s collection, Jil Sander delivers a lineup dressed in wools and silks. Texture plays a significant role this season, with details that range from unique embroideries and delicate knits to varied textile finishes. Comfort and style come together for the Jil Sander wardrobe, which the brand defines as urban and luxurious.

Uniform-inspired coats and trenches join tailored suits and patterned silk pajamas for fall. Meanwhile, knotted scarves join embroidered coats and jackets with silk foulards worn as belts. The Meiers also make a graphic statement with hand drawings of zodiac signs knitted into pullovers or printed on jackets and shirts.
