Lacoste Embraces Colorful Golf Style for Fall ’20 Collection

The Fashionisto / Published March 4, 2020

Lacoste delivers a golfer’s dream of a collection for fall-winter 2020. Louise Trotter explores the common ground between menswear and womenswear for the season.

Inspired by the relationship between Lacoste founder René Lacoste and his wife Simone Thion de la Chaume, Trotter paints a colorful picture for the season. While Lacoste is known for his accomplishments as a tennis player, Thion de la Chaume was a celebrated golf champion.

The latter is the driving force behind the collection’s golfing theme. Various colors and checks collide as the Lacoste man champions statement pieces like the sweater vest and polo. There are also plenty of pieces that leave the golf course.

Oversized plaid outerwear, color-blocked jackets, pleated trousers, and smart suit jackets are among the collection’s highlights.
