Luca Larenza Taps Into the Strength of Color for Autumn

The Fashionisto / Published January 21, 2023

Returning to his roots as a street artist, Luca Larenza utilizes creative color palettes and carefully curated materials for his fall-winter 2023 collection. This season, Luca Larenza’s man radiates sophistication and modernity, combined with a classic edge that exudes style. A confident layering of garments, colors, and textures comes together for autumn, speaking to a unique personality without compromising comfort or fit.

For Luca Larenza’s fall-winter 2023 lookbook, the spotlight is on Naples native actor Francesco Serpico. Gaining notoriety for his role as Nino Sarratore in the popular television series l’Amica Geniale, Serpico links up with photographer Antonino Cafiero in Nisida, Napoli, as the face of Luca Larenza’s collection. The designer leads the fashionably inspired journey that reflects the ambiance of the latest collection.

A mellow, pleasant attitude is sustained throughout the collection. What makes the Luca Larenza wardrobe stand out is its craftsmanship and the attention to harmoniously dissonant colors in creating a fantastic palette. From a gorgeous coral-red cardigan crafted with merino yarn to a daffodil-yellow braided pullover, the colors range from delightful to divine.

The vivid hues of the collection are softened with more subdued and neutral tones, such as a sulfur yellow bouclé work jacket and a patchwork turtleneck jumper boasting alternating stitches in cobalt blue and apricot. The outfits are finished with overshirts, coats, and cargo trousers decorated with bold wool pockets in a diagonal weave for a final touch.

Sustainability is the soul of Luca Larenza’s supply chain, for it works exclusively with small family-owned artisan workshops to secure its materials. The brand sourced high-quality fabrics from Italy for its new collection to ensure optimal comfort. These include alpaca blends, 100% extra-fine Gots-certified merino wool, and superwash merino, which has been treated with an air drying process for an ultra-soft feel that’s sure to please.

Luca Larenza’s fall-winter 2023 collection is a charming amalgamation of timeless fashion, modernity, and comfort. With its meticulously selected materials originating from Italy and lively color schemes ranging from joyful to heavenly, this season’s looks are a success.
