Luca Larenza Fall 2024: Luxe Knits, New Denim, Fresh Hues

The Fashionisto / Published January 17, 2024

For the fall-winter 2024 season, Luca Larenza’s For the First Time collection paints a narrative bridging the gap between street art’s vibrant spirit and the plush comfort of knitwear.

The collection showcases a tactile richness through a versatile palette of ocher, camel, creamy white, forest green, and navy blue, where each hue contributes to the story of a sophisticated, relaxed elegance.

The essence of the range lies in its textual interplay and voluminous silhouettes, where oversized styles showcase the brand’s embrace of cozy, cocooning knitwear.

As a nod to his artistic inspirations, the color black debuts in Larenza’s collection, demonstrating a new facet to his chromatic expertise. This season’s mood draws from the work and style of English painter David Hockney, whose influence permeates the collection with a sense of warmth and an unmistakable British flair.

Luca Larenza Fall/Winter 2024 Collection

Beyond the knitwear, Luca Larenza innovates with the introduction of denim, crafted in Italy, offering a relaxed fit with a low crotch in classic blue, milky white, and black. Meanwhile, the attention to detail is evident in the ultra-light, extra fine merino turtlenecks adorned with a diamond stitch on the collar and cuffs and in the sweater vests intricately incorporating braids and openwork.

The ‘Wave’ cardigan, a blend of wool and baby alpaca, is particularly noteworthy for its rib slopes merging into a braid, creating a distinctive wave effect. Outerwear is no less remarkable, with pieces like the bouclé work jacket, unlined jacquard chenille jackets with custom buttons, and an oversized coat in virgin wool.

The ensembles also feature voluminous shirts with dropped sleeves and wide trousers, culminating in a lineup that celebrates the tactile allure of premium yarns and the ease of generous cuts.

The collection was captured in the creative atmosphere of Spazio Loft in Milan, with Luca Larenza’s vision brought to life through the lens of photographer Antonino Cafiero and model Emanuele Pellegrino.

Fall-winter 2024 marks a collection that showcases Luca Larenza’s sartorial expertise and marks a moment of firsts—first forays into black hues, denim, and an embrace of soft neutral tones, signaling an evolution in Larenza’s design journey.

This line also introduces luxurious wool-cashmere blends, further elevating the brand’s aesthetic and commitment to quality.
