Marni creative director Francesco Risso proposes an oversized direction for fall-winter 2019. Championing style for the rule breakers, Risso rebels against tradition. The collection juxtaposes relaxed and tailored menswear codes. Safety is found in the calming hues of slouchy suits, while color explodes with a laid-back approach to graphic shirts and jackets. Animal prints, geometric shapes, and loud stripes decorate Marni’s menswear. Risso makes a case for chic ideas such as the knit twinset or deconstructed trousers. A sporty attitude pervades as well with puffer jackets, colorful vests, and baggy pants.
