Fausto Puglisi Re-ignites a Fearless Roberto Cavalli

The Fashionisto / Published February 27, 2022

The Roberto Cavalli man appears on the scene for autumn, turning heads. Fausto Puglisi, the creative director of the Italian brand, has re-ignited the fashion house’s celebration of individuality for the fall-winter 2022 collection. Roberto Cavalli’s signatures are revisited and expanded by Puglisi, who champions originality and appeals to a younger, more noticeable generation.

An undercurrent of rebellious energy permeates the Roberto Cavalli fall collection. A slew of fashion statements is made this season, from the addition of a leather lapel to an elegant coat to the studded embellishments of boots or harness-adorned jeans. A well-balanced ensemble indicates that the Roberto Cavalli man is multidimensional, possessing a wardrobe that can effortlessly move from gentleman to rebel without sacrificing style.

When it comes to animal prints, Roberto Cavalli is known for them. However, the new collection quickly moves beyond this hallmark. It features a mishmash of patterns that span from checks to florals and everything in between. The season’s varied usage of prints comes together to allow them to be mixed and matched thanks to shared color schemes, whether it’s an autumnal orange or a deep purple in tone and pattern.

The lookbook for Roberto Cavalli’s fall-winter 2022 men’s collection, photographed by Pasquale Abbattista, brings the collection to life. The season’s tone mirrors a gradient set designed by Michela Croci. Meanwhile, models Alvar Makslahti, Dalibor Urosevic, Finlay Mangan, Jaakko Sihvonen, Junho Ock, Kim Davis, Loic Namigandet, Thomas Todd, and Tyler Forbes capture the essence of Roberto Cavalli’s norm-defying protagonist in their respective looks for the fashion house.
