Anthony Vaccarello, creative director of Saint Laurent, visited a destination essential to the French fashion house to present the spring-summer 2023 menswear show.
Saint Laurent staged its presentation in the fabled city of Marrakech. Meanwhile, Rory van Millingen photographed the glamorous season.
Saint Laurent’s neutral-toned collection was contrasted by the light of the sunset and the wind that disturbed the collection’s ethereal pieces as models strolled throughout the desert.
Revisiting house codes, Vaccarello embraced Grain de Poudre, a traditional wool cloth unconventionally utilized in the original Le Smoking tuxedo jacket, to cut various shapes.
The season champions fluid ensembles with tailored finesse and refined softness. Saint Laurent delivered an elevated sense of leisure and luxury, from billowing robes and wide-leg trousers to caftans. While the Sainty Laurent man is not opposed to a bit of glitz or glam, Vaccarello’s designs were geared towards a noir color palette, bringing attention to the clean lines.
