The Kooples Picture a Brighter Future with Spring ’21 Collection

The Fashionisto / Published October 6, 2020

For spring-summer 2021, The Kooples’ new artistic director Tom Van Dorpe ponders, “How soon is tomorrow?” Van Dorpe looks to bolster The Kooples’ image with a season that draws on the dreams of a bright future while taking inspiration from a mix of “real life, art, photography, vintage magazines, design interiors, and album covers.” The past meets the future for The Kooples man with a merging of a 1980s and 90s aesthetic.

Light shades of purple, yellow, and more pop against black and complement a decidedly more relaxed approach to tailoring. Lined for summer are a variety of loose shirts with floral and striped designs. Jackets vary from oversized denim styles to bowling jackets that leave customers with enough options to choose what works best.

Take a stylish note from The Kooples and its contemporary take on slightly fitting men’s suits, styled with sneakers for a look “on the go.” Chains are inserted in shirts, caps, and shoes. Men’s shorts and sweatpants range from floral to plain designs. There are satin overcoats that match with boxer-style shorts. Plain sneakers, boots, and rubber shoes complete the full look.
