Thom Browne invites us into his garden for spring-summer 2019. Furnished with gnomes and all, Browne’s garden serves as a stage to revisit past ideas. Pastel hues, nautical motifs, gingham, and more come together. Browne explores proportions by drawing a parallel between slim fits and wide silhouettes. The first half of the collection plays with enormous shapes that are later shrunken down with Browne’s signature tailoring. In a brilliant fashion, the designer shows how his ideas on the runway are often translated into clothes available for retail.
