For fall-winter 2021, Tom Ford is right on trend with the hope that life post-COVID will return to normal. Photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc captures Ford’s latest designs on models Henry Kitcher, Cherif Douamba, and Maikls Mihelsons. Here, Ford’s man eases into glamorous dressing once more “but in a slightly more casual yet luxurious way.” References to the 1960s and ’80s emerge with a wardrobe that balances everyday style’s practical needs with men’s desire to dress in a sophisticated fashion. Caramel, turquoise, dusty pink, jade, and acid yellow tones peek out from a sea of neutrals, giving life to must-haves like a double-breasted jacket or military coat. Meanwhile, Ford elevates jeans with the use of mohair twill. A shorter cut brings attention to Ford’s stylish boots and 1960’s loafers. Fun standouts for the season range from a floral print jacket and oversized down outerwear to bleached denim jeans. Paying a nod to the increased time spent at home, colorful robes and pajamas in vibrant prints round out the collection.
