Versace, which is known for its use of brilliant colors, demonstrates that its man can turn heads even when dressed in black and white. Versace’s pre-fall 2022 collection stands out with its use of the label’s distinctive Baroque pattern. In an attempt to “hypnotize,” the print is given a complete makeover in black and white on a massive scale.
In preparation for pre-fall, the Versace man is “Rooted in the Moment.” “Men at Versace do not like the middle ground,” the company claims, explaining why the brand tackles a wardrobe of fitted and loose styles with no in-between. As a result, Versace creates eye-catching ensembles by alternating its Baroque and Greca patterns in varied scales throughout the collection.
In preparation for Versace’s pre-fall 2022 season, Habib Masovic and Cheikh Dia hit the photo studio. In front of photographer Theo Sion’s camera, the models make their appearance. Leisure and business receive equal attention with a contemporary collection of suits, cargo pants, windbreakers, t-shirts, and other items.
Discussing the season, Donatella Versace questions, “Whoever said that it cannot be black and white? I see creativity as an opportunity and a way of looking at things you have known all of your life in a different way, from another perspective and transform them into something new that, like a scent reminds you of emotions past, but are now connected to something completely rooted in the present moment.”
