Y-3 unveiled its fall-winter 2025 collection, “Finding the Real in the Surreal,” in Paris. First came a volley of black layers, anchored by a bomber-inspired coat and knee padding that evoked ’80s Yohji minimalism.
Next arrived a creamy sweater with vivid orange splashes, recalling ancient Suibokuga ink paintings and fossilized amber.
The brand’s sport-meets-fashion DNA held firm, bolstered by insulated shells and cinched silhouettes. Adidas’ iconic Three Stripes morphed into wired appendages, offering sculptural flair.
Then came a race-driven jacket, channeling motorcycle culture with bold lettering and a custom helmet in tow. The NEIGHBORHOOD partnership amplified this nod to speed, fueled by artwork from Death Spray Custom and protective leather gear by Dainese.
Further along the runway, a fiery red puffer vest shook up the dark palette, reminiscent of the rebellious color-blocking seen in ‘90s streetwear. Below, footwear spanned performance runners to GSG9 combat boots, bridging practicality and edge.
Transitions stayed smooth. Innovations felt natural. The Y-3 collection balanced extremes while celebrating that sweet spot between raw function and high-concept style. That final note left a mark on the season.
