Kawakubo’s Punk Brigade–There may have been no skirts this season, but there were plenty of sweeping full-length coats as Comme des Garçons Homme Plus designer Rei Kawakubo sent her punk down a concise path. First things first, camouflage reared its head once more for the Parisian season as the bold print shared the same arena as leopard for statement ensembles. Meanwhile, the metallic trend surfaced with gold pants and shirts adding a rebellious bling. Outside bright orange hair and the in vogue unibrow, Kawakubo furnished a refined uniform, consisting of shirts and trousers, finished with fluid coats, perhaps best seen in mid-movement. They were pinstriped, patched with leather or studs and paired with great style motifs, including a punk standard, red plaid.
