Dreams do come true. Los Angeles based label, Corpus began out of the desire to bridge street wear and high-fashion. Gaining popularity through their denim and graphic t-shirts, designers Jerrod Cornish and Keith Richardson were able to slowly expand the line until it became full-range. Winning a $25,000 grant from winemaker Ecco Domani enabled the designing duo to make plans for their first show in New York. The larger audience that New York provides were treated with a more chic, mature Corpus that showed refined pieces such as modestly sized knits and tweed trousers. Remaining youthful, the show also included plaid and leather. For other labels starting out, Corpus reaffirms that the sky is in fact the limit. The fashion world is constantly growing and making room for new talent.
