Safari Punk–Starting from the timeless and always charming inspiration of an exotic safari, designer Ennio Capasa delivers a modern and young spring/summer 2013 collection for Costume National. The safari-theme is in fact revisited with a rebellious and almost punk attitude, as seen on the metallic details that often embellish the looks, including the gladiator sandals or the unstructured shoes. The palette of colors is classic and essential, and begins with sandy neutrals, that define a layered, deconstructed or perfectly tailored silhouette. Black, navy blue, stone, alabaster and carbon, complete a selection of looks that combines traditional fabrics, like silk, leather and linen with innovative purposes, sometimes embellished with graphic prints or large stripes. The wardrobe designed by Capasa for spring/summer 2013 has certainly a strong rebel-chic attitude, but also reveals at the same time a huge attention for details, volumes and proportions, following the steps of the most classic and traditional tailoring, revisited for the occasion with a modern and young attitude.
