Cristiano Ronaldo returned home to Portugal to present his fall-winter 2015 collection for CR7 Footwear. The footballer remarked, “It’s an honour to launch my new collection of CR7 Footwear in my home country today. Each pair is hand crafted here in Portugal by the most talented local artisans, so it seemed fitting to hold the global launch here in the historic town of Guimaraes, where many of the styles are made.”
Discussing why he decided to stage the brand’s first runway show, Ronaldo explained, “With CR7 Footwear, it is all about style so I wanted to create a fashion presentation that really focused on the collection itself. The fashion show demonstrated how you can wear each different style and the art display really showcased each piece beautifully. The International Arts Centre features the work of some of the world’s most important artists, so it’s fantastic to have presented our collection here today.” Following his runway show, Ronaldo signed ten pairs of his shoes, which will go into circulation to be purchased randomly by lucky fans.
