Creative Contaminations–French duo Daft Punk are on everyone’s lips these days with the release of their fourth studio album, titled Random Access Memories, and thanks to a new collaboration with fashion designer Hedi Slimane, which sees the disguised artists as one of the faces of the latest advertisements, shot by Slimane himself, of French fashion house Saint Laurent. To celebrate the launch of their latest album, Dazed & Confused asks to Slimane to shoot the artists for the magazine’s June 2013 issue. Appearing in their now usual Saint Laurent’s sequined numbers, Daft Punk cover Dazed & Confused’s Masked Rebellious Issue appearing in a series of black & white images, styled by Slimane himself. Posing with legendary 70’s disco producer Giorgio Moroder, who’s also featured in one of the album’s songs, the pair deliver black & white images that accompany a revealing interview, but faithful to themselves, they hide their faces with robot masks, a trick that helps them to keep their anonymity, but at the same time intensifies the hype about their artistic work.
