Prada reunites with Dane DeHaan for its resort 2017 campaign. The Italian fashion house calls on photographer Willy Vanderperre to capture the advertisement. After fronting a fragrance campaign as well as being the face of Prada’s spring-summer 2014 collection, DeHaan is a cinematic vision for the brand’s latest efforts. Traveling to Milan, the American actor takes in the city’s iconic sights. Here, DeHaan sports conservative pieces, which range from speckled turtleneck sweaters, and modest black suits to double-breasted coats.

Prada on Dane DeHaan Representing Its Man
Prada relates Dane DeHaan to its smart man with its resort 2017 campaign. The fashion house shares, “Inspired by the cinematic backdrop of the city, Willy Vanderperre tells a story of escape: DeHaan seems to be leaving these places behind, but taking with him a hefty suitcase of essentials. Here is the Prada man, setting off on a new course with an entire history at hand.”
Explaining the relationship between Prada and actors, the label continues, “Over the years Prada has relished assuming unlikely roles while always harkening back to a core set of codes. Actors too must mine histories both real and imagined in order to portray an interior life, if only for a moment of performance, while always maintaining an essential self. Perhaps there is a parallel to be drawn here. A true actor’s actor, like Prada’s Prada, can make even playing oneself a complete departure.”
