Made by Hand–Recruited for another season with Woolrich Woolen Mills, up and comer David Hlinka models the label’s latest outing by designer Mark McNairy. Inspired by McNairy’s southern upbringing and frequent references to the American Civil War and Sergio Leone’s 1966 western film The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, fall’s collection is constructed with a seasoned charm. Infusing Woolrich Woolen Mills archive patterns with a new variety of color and adding a modern utilitarianism to classics, quilted shirting, plaid wool backpacks, suiting cut from corduroy and many other relevant standards come into play. From digital camouflage to bursts of bright yellow and accents of faux fur, the rugged side of fashion makes an accomplished debut for the season.
