Diesel Black Gold Fall/Winter 2014–Designer Andreas Melbostad debuted his first collection for Diesel Black Gold during Pitti Uomo in Florence. Continuing the strong rebellious DNA of the label, Melbostad created a wardrobe for the man who dresses fearlessly, mixing on-trend pieces with essentials boasting precise construction. Inspired by the attitude of Diesel’s stylish man, militaristic and rock ‘n’ roll references came to a head showing off a brash wardrobe with masculine tailoring. Dressed in wool, flannel and poplin, mixed with classic patterns ranging from herringbone to Prince of Wales, the collection covered the basis which included smart shirting and jackets, before moving on to coveted items like felted wool bomber and biker jackets. The uniform-inspired style continued on with nylon parkas lined in shearling and ended with chelsea boots as well as lace-up oxfords.
