Dolce & Gabbana embraced a western style motif for its fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. Going against the grain of expectations, the Italian label’s spin on the timeless fashion inspiration was firmly rooted in its familiarity with sartorial suiting and casual denim. Relying heavily on embellishments to cement the season’s theme, horses, cowboys, revolvers and shoe horses dressed fitted shirts, double-breasted coats, slim-cut trousers and pullovers.
Juxtaposed with leather jackets and tailored suits, models in reversed shearling hit the catwalk, paying tribute to one of the season’s most significant trends. Vying for a digital interest, Dolce & Gabbana’s models also posed for selfies as they walked the runway. The modern point of interest connected the runway presentation with the Italian fashion house’s recent campaign advertisements.
