Dolce & Gabbana took to Milan’s famous La Scala opera house to stage its spring 2017 Alta Sartoria collection. The couture outing takes inspiration from Italian opera composer, Giuseppe Verdi. Setting the stage for an elegant proposal, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana bring together a rich lineup.

Luxurious topcoats, tailored waistcoats, fur adorned bombers, and graphic tuxedo jackets contribute to an extravagant showing. Exploring La Scala’s archives, several of Dolce & Gabbana’s bold prints referenced storied programs. Sparing no expense, the collection also featured gorgeous brocades, lavish velvets, and floral embellishments.
