Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2015–Seeing red, Dolce & Gabbana temporarily retired its Sicilian theme of past seasons, instead traveling to Spain for inspiration. Capturing a crimson red vision, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana found inspiration in the country’s famed torero. The result was powerful and engaging. Matador jackets in rich opulent hues kicked off the show, featuring Italian craftsmanship in the embroidery. For its oversized shirts, the label featured graphic images of bulls. Introducing playful polka dots that covered blazers, shirts and trousers, Dolce & Gabbana continued a rich trend with baroque elements thrown into intricate patterns that undoubtedly will take the label into the new season at the front of the fashion pack.
