  • A Tie: Incorporate a tie into your outfit; it makes you look more professional.

As a male realtor, there are things you should never wear. If you can wear it to the gym, you should not wear it to do real estate business. Here is a list of things you should never wear while working in real estate.

  • Sneakers: You should never wear sneakers when working as a real estate agent under any circumstance. Invest in comfortable dress shoes.
  • Any Athletic Gear: Just say no to all athletic gear. There is a time and place for everything, and real estate is not for athletic gear.
  • Baseball Caps: A baseball cap automatically turns your outfit into a casual, relaxed look.
  • T-Shirts: Save the t-shirts for downtime; they are unacceptable in real estate.
  • Suits or Clothes That Don’t Fit: Wear form-fitting clothing that fits your frame.
  • Wrinkled or Unclean Clothing: Take time to prepare your outfit. Make sure that it is clean and free of wrinkles.

Your real estate business is your brand. Whether you work for yourself or a property management company, you must take pride in your dress.
