By now, it is relatively easy to figure out which style direction Dsquared² designers Dan and Dean Caten are going with their collections. The twin brothers have a knack for going either ultra chic, excelling in the realm of evening wear or playing it down with day to day wear that includes denim basics and the usual suspects. However, camp and the vibrant use of color are always factors and this season has those elements like no other. Literally, taking inspiration from the camp grounds, the youthful collection is the very essence of Dsquared². Juxtaposing formal wear with camping-inspired attire such as briar pants and fisherman boots, Dan and Dean create a chaotic collection of unusual style pairings. However, the chaos feels right at home when placed in the same context as utilitarian shorts layered over cropped leggings. Overall, the Dsquared² collection holds no punches, fully embracing the twins’ campy aesthetic that most will either love or hate.

  1. I love it because it REALLY reflects the style of a hiker/camper with the addition of COLOR.
    Very attractive.

i kinda like dsquared..but i do have to agree, sometimes they can take their inspirations a bit too literally to a point where it gets tacky, and cliche..but they were one of the first designers i fell in love with.

btw..i used some of your images on my blog..i credited your site of course..if it’s an issue let me know and i’ll remove it

  10. it has gotten old. too bad. they really started out with a bang. it was really fun BUT what’s new about this line. dean and dan seem too busy in silly side ventures to explore moving forward. it’s really depleted the energy of their brand.
