Dsquared2 conducts a meeting of east and west for its fall-winter 2016 men’s collection, which featured mandarin collars and baggy denim silhouettes.

On the heels of celebrating its twentieth anniversary, Dsquared2 turned to Japan for the inspiration of its fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. Presented during the final day of Milan Fashion Week, designers Dan and Dean Caten remixed their boyish essentials with a fashion-forward trip east.

For the Dsquared2 man, this meant a relaxed approach to denim, ushering in a lineup of baggy jeans and mandarin collared denim shirts. Pleated kilts, asymmetrical jackets, elongated bomber jackets and relaxed silk pants contributed to the fusion of cultures. Standout pieces for the collection included parkas dressed in Geishas, oversized coats, lined in metallic silver and eveningwear that mixed plaid with the sequined macabre.
