Gay Times helps Dsquared2 celebrate its 25-year anniversary with its latest issue. The magazine features fashions from the label’s Icon collection in a shoot lensed by photographer Jakub Koziel. Styled by Umar Sarwar, models Elliot Meeten and Kieran Warner share the spotlight. Dsquared2’s Dan and Dean Caten talk to Gay Times as well.
The design duo discusses how they share responsibilities. We do everything together. We work together, live together, travel together, so we are super in sync. Now, what happens is that we have so much more work to do as we have pre-collection, the main collection…so he will go somewhere, I will go somewhere, and then we’ll get together at the end of the day to communicate what happened on each side.
Caten continues, The main thing is, we’re always talking and sharing our ideas. This way, we get more mileage out of each idea, by sharing, rather than one of us solely focusing on one thing and the other on another. It keeps the collection balanced, through to the merchandising in stores, so it feels like a complete brand.
