The latest collection from Emanuel Ungaro saw a fusion of the flamenco dancer and designer Franck Boclet’s love for the rock-inspired aesthetic. The result was a pink runway so hot, it illuminated the collection’s contemporary take on suiting. Whites and blacks framed a collection that starred a dandy, who was in fact a little rough around the edges, but in that perfect modern sense. Breaking the dandy’s romanticized vision of perfection were asymmetrical tops and suit jackets with dramatic curved hemlines. His masculine edge was highlighted by leather riding gloves and biker jackets, while polka dots and pre-wrinkled fabrics provided variety and elegance. Ultimately, the interspersing of various aesthetics resulted in the picture of a modern dandy, very much representative of the Emanuel Ungaro brand–one who is testing new options for a modest update to his wardrobe of classics.
